Accept, one of the most recognisable German heavy metal bands and pioneers of the genre, comes to Sofia on July 27, 2026. The concert will take place in Hall 1 of NDK (the National Palace of Culture), as part of the Half a Century of Metal anniversary tour, marking 50 years of the band.
The band was formed in 1976 in Solingen, Germany. With hits like Balls to the Wall, Metal Heart, Fast as a Shark, Princess of the Dawn and London Leatherboys, they were a major influence on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and on the American thrash metal generation (Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth). Long-time vocalist Udo Dirkschneider passed away in 2017; the current lead vocalist is Mark Tornillo (since 2010), and guitarist and founder Wolf Hoffmann still leads the band, which has 17 studio albums and an estimated 10 million records sold and a solid standing in the genre.
The setlist covers all the major classics - Balls to the Wall, Metal Heart, Fast as a Shark, Restless and Wild - and material from the latest albums Too Mean to Die and Humanoid (2024). NDK Hall 1, with a capacity of 2,800 and excellent acoustics, suits heavy metal concerts with a full stage production.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 70 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Monday, July 27, 2026. For Macedonian fans of classic German heavy metal, this is one of the key dates in the neighbourhood.
