Adam Beyer, the founder of Drumcode, plays on September 18 at the Boogaloo club in Zagreb, in an event organised by Future Scope. Doors at 23:00, with tickets at 25 euros for the first release, around 1,540 denars, and 50 euros for backstage. Joining him on the decks are Dj Jock and Shype.
Beyer was born in 1976 in Sweden and works out of Stockholm. He founded Drumcode in 1996, which means the label turns thirty this year. It has released over three hundred records, and in 2018 it was the best-selling techno label on Beatport and the third best-selling label overall, across all genres. That is a position no other techno label has reached.
Alongside the label, Beyer runs a weekly radio show, Drumcode Live, with a weekly audience of eleven million listeners. That makes it one of the most listened-to weekly electronic broadcasts in the world. It rarely happens that one person holds both the best-selling label and one of the most listened-to radio shows in a single genre.
The Boogaloo club is on Ulica grada Vukovara in Zagreb and is one of the standing addresses of the city's electronic scene. The event runs into the early hours of September 19, and tickets are via entrio.hr, with a discount if you buy four at once.
