Alarm at NATO's Incirlik base, Iran confirms: Hormuz remains closed

Alarm sirens sounded at NATO's Incirlik base in Turkey as the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran entered its second week. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard again warned that the Strait of Hormuz "remains closed" until US-Israeli operations cease.

US-Israeli strikes continue on multiple fronts - simultaneous attacks were carried out on Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz. Over 24,500 damaged civilian buildings have been registered in Iran, and nearly 3,000 people have been wounded in Israel since the start of the conflict on February 28.

Particularly concerning is the report that the US has expended its "multi-year stockpiles of ammunition" in just two weeks of military operations. Australia meanwhile withdrew diplomatic personnel without essential functions from Lebanon.

The closed Strait of Hormuz continues to paralyze global oil transit. The US Navy still has not received orders to escort tankers, while oil prices remain extremely volatile.
