Alen Slavica, the Šibenik pop singer with 14 albums and the platinum-certified Dao sam ti dušu behind him, will perform at the Ancient Theatre of Heraclea in Bitola on July 9. The concert starts at 20:00 and is part of Heraclea's summer program, one of the most recognizable Hellenistic stages in Macedonia.

Slavica was born on December 23, 1964 in Šibenik, and belongs to the generation of Croatian pop singers who defined the Dalmatian sound from the 80s onward. Dao sam ti dušu and Ja ludujem are his best-known hits, while the albums Šarene oči, Ispod tvoga jastuka, Ti si moja sretna zvijezda and Pod krilima neba have gone gold and silver. His career has stretched across more than three decades, with steady output of new songs and albums.

For the Bitola show, Slavica will perform his biggest hits in an acoustic format suited to the ancient setting. Heraclea Lyncestis, founded in the 4th century BC, offers a rare combination of stone and sunset as a natural backdrop for summer concerts - the sound from the stage bouncing off rows built more than two thousand years ago.

Tickets cost 600 denars and are sold via kupikarta.com. The Ancient Theatre of Heraclea sits at Bitola's exit toward the Tsarigrad road and is reachable on foot from the city center.
