Asaf Avidan plays Maimunarnika in Sofia on May 27, 2026 at 8 p.m. - just two days after the announcement. Tickets are on bilet.bg for a night with one of the most recognizable voices in contemporary folk-rock.
Asaf Avidan is the Israeli singer and songwriter who writes every song in his catalog himself, with a voice critics have called „soul-piercing" - a mix of high alto, falsetto control and emotional rawness that simultaneously recalls Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan. With his band The Mojos he put out three albums; as a solo artist he followed with „Different Pulses" (2012), „Gold Shadow" (2015) and „The Study on Falling" (2017).
The global breakthrough came in 2012 with the Wankelmut remix of „Reckoning Song" - the track everyone knows as „One Day". The remix racked up more than 150 million YouTube views and hit number one in 14 countries, turning Avidan into one of the most recognizable names on Europe's alternative scene through the 2010s. His latest album „Unfurl" is the base for this tour.
Maimunarnika is one of Sofia's most loved open-air summer stages, set in the park area of Borisova gradina, with natural acoustics and a capacity of around 1,500. The May 27 show opens this season's run of summer concerts on the site. Tickets on bilet.bg.
