British electronic duo Autechre plays Sofia for the first time on October 6, 2026. The concert is at Toplocentrala, organised by Club Pave. According to the organisers, it's the only place in Bulgaria that can meet the technical requirements of their 2026 tour, thanks to its black-box design.
Behind the name are Rob Brown and Sean Booth, two lads from Rochdale in Greater Manchester. They are among the most important names on the Warp Records label and on the scene that later got the name IDM. They started from techno, electro and hip-hop, and with albums like 1993's "Incunabula" through to their latest releases, their sound has become ever more radical and abstract.
Autechre concerts are not a club party. They play in total darkness, with no lights and no video, so the audience is left alone with the sound. For some it's the most intense experience in electronic music, for others a test of patience. How many acts, after almost forty years, still divide their audience this sharply?
Tickets on bilet.bg cost 25.56 to 40 euros, roughly 1,570 to 2,460 denars.
