Breaking Benjamin, the American post-grunge and alternative rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, comes to Bulgaria for the first time on June 29, 2026. The concert will take place at Arena 8888 in Sofia, as part of their European tour.
The band has been active since 1998 and is one of the most recognisable names in American hard rock of the 2000s. Frontman Benjamin Burnley wrote all of the band's songs - tracks like Diary of Jane, So Cold, I Will Not Bow, Failure and Red Cold River. With seven studio albums, more than 8 million records sold in the US and an estimated 8.5 billion Spotify streams, they are one of the most successful rock bands of the genre over the past two decades. The band took a break from 2010 to 2014 due to Burnley's health issues, and then returned with a completely new line-up around the original frontman.
The setlist covers all the major hits along with material from their latest album Aurora. Breaking Benjamin's concerts are known for Burnley's intense live presence and emotional vocal delivery - the artist lives with chronic agoraphobia, which shapes the way he tours. Arena 8888 is the largest indoor venue in Sofia, with a capacity of 15,000.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 62 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Monday, June 29, 2026. For Macedonian fans of American post-grunge from the 2000s, this is one of the biggest options in the neighbourhood right now - Breaking Benjamin has never played in Skopje.
