Bulgarian band Cool Den play the Vidas Art Arena in Sofia on September 16, 2026, on the small stage in the heart of Borisova gradina. The date was picked deliberately: the concert falls the day after the new school year begins. Fest Team is the organiser.
The group formed in 2018 and has three studio albums behind it. "1" came out in 2020, "Тази земя" in 2021, and "Фар и Факла" in 2024. Together they carry forty songs and eighteen videos, and the band is already working on a fourth record. That is a pace the Bulgarian alternative scene rarely sustains.
Their sound refuses to sit in one drawer. Alternative rock, ska, punk, grunge, hip-hop and reggae all go into it, which on paper looks like an overstuffed box, but with them it works because the lyrics are what hold it together. The band describe their own music as "songs for people", and the themes swing from comic to serious, sometimes inside the same track.
Besides frontman Nikola Simeonov, the line-up features Ivaylo Petrov on guitar and vocals, Vasil Andreev on bass and Teodor Chirpanliev on drums, whom Bulgarian audiences also know from the band "Цар Плъх". Vidas Art Arena is a small stage in Sofia's largest park, which for a band with this kind of energy means an audience a few metres away.
Tickets start at twelve euros, roughly 740 denars, and are sold through the Ticket Station network in stages. Each price tier has a limited number of places, and once the quota runs out the price moves up a level. Details are at festteam.bg.
