Three-Car Crash in Gostivar: Two 14-Year-Olds Seriously Injured, the Drivers of the Two Golfs Are 18 and 19

On Saturday at around 10:10 p.m., three moving cars collided at the junction of Kej Vardar and Tode Bogdanovski streets in Gostivar, and a parked vehicle was hit as well. The crash involved two Volkswagen Golfs, driven by 18-year-old E.R. and 19-year-old B.A., and a BMW driven by 25-year-old M.M. The parked Passat belongs to 54-year-old E.S. All of them are from Gostivar.

The worst injured were two passengers aged just 14. After first aid at the emergency centre in Gostivar, they were transferred to the Mother Teresa University Clinics in Skopje because of the severity of their injuries. Both Golf drivers were also hurt, as were passengers A.S. and B.L. Six people injured in total, four of them teenagers.

A team from the Gostivar police department carried out an on-site investigation and is establishing the circumstances and causes of the crash. So far nothing has been said about how fast anyone was driving, or who caused the collision.

Right now the most important thing is that the two children recover. After that, the police need to say publicly what happened at that junction - so the story doesn't end up as one more line in the daily bulletin, until the next Saturday night.
