The German synth-pop that plenty of the nineties generation grew up on is getting a new, more club-oriented form in Belgrade. De/Vision Redux plays on September 24 at Nova Zappa Barka - a night where the band's biggest hits are reworked into a cleaner, more electronic and more minimalist sound.

De/Vision was formed in 1988 as a quartet, and through the nineties it climbed from youth clubs to a major record deal. With songs like Try to Forget and We Fly… Tonight they built a loyal following across Europe, and their highest chart placement came in 2016 with the album 13, which reached number 11. This is a band that knows how to survive more than three decades on a narrow but loyal scene.

Redux is not the end of the band, but its new face. The project was launched by singer Steffen Keth and producer Daniel Myer, known from Haujobb and Covenant, and the idea is to give De/Vision's most important songs a more modern, purely electronic shell - closer to the club than to the concert hall. For the Belgrade synth-pop scene, this is an event cut to their exact measure.

The show at Nova Zappa Barka starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are available through tickets.rs. For a night where nostalgia meets the dance floor, De/Vision Redux offers precisely that combination.
