Tribute band IQV play Zagreb's Bugalu club on November 13, in memory of Milan Mladenovic, with an eighties party after the concert. Doors and music start at 21:00.

Ekatarina Velika existed from 1982 to 1994 and stands among the most successful and most influential Yugoslav bands ever formed. Guitarist and singer Milan Mladenovic put it together after Sarlo Akrobata fell apart, with Margita Stefanovic on keyboards and Bojan Pecar on bass as the core of the line-up. The first album "Katarina II" came out in 1984, and after the self-titled second one in 1985 the band moved toward alternative rock with "S' vetrom uz lice" in 1986 and "Ljubav" in 1987, which earned them international attention as well. The last two albums are "Dum Dum" from 1991 and "Neko nas posmatra" from 1993.

Their final performance was at the Pesma Mediterana festival on August 24, 1994, and Mladenovic died on November 5 of the same year in Belgrade. The date of the Zagreb concert falls in that same week of the year, which for a tribute night is anything but a detail.

IQV are favourites of the Zagreb crowd and, by many accounts, the best EKV tribute band around. That matters more than usual with this repertoire: Mladenovic's songs are not sung by imitating his voice but by understanding what they meant, and the difference is audible from the first song.
