Doris Dragović, one of the grande dames of Croatian pop, is playing Špancirfest in Varaždin. On Saturday, August 29, 2026, on the Vila Bedeković stage, as part of the festival's 28th edition, the legend returns to her audience with a repertoire built over decades, starting at 8:30 pm.
Dragović is a name that needs no long introduction around here. From Eurovision through a string of hits to icon status, hers is the voice that defined an entire era of Yugoslav and Croatian pop. "Mažuranka," "Dalmatinko," "Živim po svom" - songs the audience knows by heart and that turn every one of her concerts into a collective singalong.
What sets her apart is not just the back catalogue but the staying power - decade after decade she stays relevant, with a voice time has not worn down. Her shows carry an emotion and force that younger performers rarely reach, and audiences from every generation come precisely for that.
Špancirfest, with its 600 programmes across the historic core of Varaždin, is a frame worthy of a performance like this. The Vila Bedeković stage arrives this season with a refreshed concept, and Dragović is among the edition's headline draws. Tickets are available through eventim.hr.
