Fabienne Erni, the Swiss singer and one of the most recognisable voices on today's folk-metal and symphonic-metal scene, comes to Sofia on May 15, 2026. The concert takes place at Club Mixtape 5, one of the city's clubs dedicated to metal and alternative music.
Erni is best known as the lead female vocalist of Eluveitie, the Swiss folk-metal band that uses ancient Celtic languages and instruments - hurdy-gurdy, tin whistle, fiddles - within a modern metal production. She was part of the band from 2017 to 2024, on albums such as Ategnatos, the Helvetios re-record and Ne Regan. In parallel, she co-founded the symphonic-metal band Illumishade with guitarist Jean-Luc Mjoerand; their 2021 debut Eclyptic - Wake of Shadows received strong reviews in the genre.
The Sofia show is part of her new solo tour, which features material from ILLUMISHADE and new original work built around Celtic and medieval motifs. The set is smaller and more intimate than a standard metal show, with a more acoustic sound. Club Mixtape 5 has a capacity of roughly 600, which fits that style.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 37 leva. The concert begins in the evening on Friday, May 15, 2026. For Macedonian fans of folk and symphonic metal, this is one of the rare chances to hear the voice of Eluveitie in the neighbourhood.
