Foltin celebrates 30 years of existence with a big jubilee concert at the Heraclea Ancient Theatre in Bitola on August 29, 2026 - and it happens in the city where it all began back in 1995.

It is hard to find a Macedonian band that so stubbornly refuses to fit into a mould. They take their name from the last novel by Karel Čapek, and they build their music on a fusion of Macedonian traditional themes with jazz, improvisation, funk, bossa nova, čalgija, klezmer, ambient and film music. They are also known for using „found“ instruments - the best-known example is the typewriter as percussion in the song „Milice“. Over three decades they have released some twenty albums and composed music for more than 20 theatre productions and 12 films, including Oscar-nominated documentaries.

From small club stages to concert halls and festival stages across Europe, the Middle East and the region, Foltin has built an audience generation after generation. The return to Bitola for the anniversary is no accident - it is the city that gave birth to one of the most authentic musical stories of these lands, and the Heraclea Ancient Theatre offers a backdrop worthy of a thirtieth anniversary.

The programme features the best-known songs, but also new musical surprises. Tickets cost 600 denars via mktickets.mk, and the concert starts in the evening hours. For lovers of a band that has walked its own path for three decades, this is a night not to be missed.
