Foreigner, one of the most recognisable figures of classic rock from the seventies and eighties, comes to Sofia on June 30, 2026. The concert will take place at Arena 8888 as part of their farewell world tour - which marks 50 years of the band.
The band was founded in 1976 in New York by British guitarist Mick Jones (formerly of Spooky Tooth) with Lou Gramm on vocals. With hits like I Want to Know What Love Is, Waiting for a Girl Like You, Hot Blooded, Cold as Ice, Urgent and Juke Box Hero, they are one of the best-selling groups of the eighties, with an estimated 80 million records sold worldwide. Their songs are standard references on classic rock radio to this day.
The setlist includes all the classics, with guitarist Mick Jones as the only original member (lead vocals come from Kelly Hansen, a member of the band since 2005). The shows are known as high-production performances, with a full stage setup and several special guests. Arena 8888 is the largest indoor venue in Sofia, with a capacity of 15,000.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 71 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. For Macedonian fans of classic American and British rock of the eighties, this is a significant date, especially given that this is the band's farewell tour.
