Goran Vinčić Vinča, one of Croatia's most in-demand stand-up comics, performs on Wednesday, October 7, from 20:00, at the Hotel "Srbija" in Vršac. He brings the show "Komedija je ozbiljna stvar" ("Comedy Is a Serious Business"), with which he is touring the region in 2026.
Vinčić comes from Mirkovci near Vinkovci and is a member of the comedy collective BIS. A wider audience got to know him through the satirical programme "Stanje nacije", and he also acts in the Croatian film "Svadba". His trademark is the "man of the people" persona: direct, unfiltered and with plenty of improvisation in conversation with the crowd. Serbian audiences have already taken to him - his biggest solo show in Belgrade, at Hala sportova, drew 3,500 people. In March this year he was also announced as the first home-grown comic to headline a solo show at Arena Zagreb, the biggest hall in Croatia.
The title of the show is also his creed. In interviews he repeats that he treats comedy as a profession, not as entertainment after work. On stage he often comes back to his family and to his grandmother Dušanka, who features regularly in his material. He has three children, and he met his wife, as he tells it, in 2017 at a masquerade ball: he was dressed as Superman, she as Baltazar.
Tickets cost 1,500 dinars (about 790 denars) and are on sale through tickets.rs. Vršac is about 85 kilometres from Belgrade, in southern Banat, close to the border with Romania.
