Gregor Magaš headlines the first night of the Mol Hangar series on October 10 from 9 p.m. in Mol, a village in the Vojvodina municipality of Ada. The hangar's industrial space turns into a club for one night, and alongside Magaš the bill features Dejv Pavlo and DJ Maksim.
Magaš is one of the new names on the regional hard-techno rap scene - a mix of fast electronic production, raw energy and blunt lyrics. Audiences didn't find him through radio or festivals, but through viral posts: a recognisable image, fast hype-building on social media and around 128,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Among the songs that brought him that audience are "Završim", "Spid u Ferariju" and "Kardio", his collaboration with Gazda Paja.
The choice of location says how alive this genre is outside the capitals. A hangar in a village by the Tisa instead of a club in Novi Sad or Belgrade - is it a sign the new scene no longer asks the big cities for permission? The organiser says information on organised transport will be published later.
Presale tickets are 600 dinars via tickets.rs, and 800 dinars on the day. Numbers are limited.
