OFFest 2026 opens its program on June 3 with two extraordinary acts: Guitari Baro - a West African instrumental trio from Guinea and Mali, and BCUC - a seven-member band from Soweto, South Africa. The concert takes place at the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje.

Guitari Baro - meaning "Guitar Conversations" - consists of three renowned griot musicians: guitarists Gaoussou Kouyate and Kerfala Diabate and balafon master Lassana Diabate. Their music blends traditional Mande melodies with elements of jazz, Congolese rumba, rock, and Cuban music.

BCUC (Bantu Continua Uhuru Consciousness) sing in all 11 official languages of South Africa, and their sound has been described as "afro-psychedelic future pop" - ritual songs, shebeen songs, and church songs woven with rap and a rock and roll attitude. Formed in 2003, they are one of the most original voices in contemporary African music.

Tickets for this OFFest evening are 800 denars through karti.com.mk and mktickets.mk.
