GusGus in Sofia on September 11 - The Icelandic Electronic Pioneers Live at Vidas Art Arena

GusGus, the Icelandic pioneers of the electronic scene, are coming to Sofia for a special live show on September 11 on the small stage of Vidas Art Arena, organised by Fest Team. The evening is billed as something more than an ordinary concert - an immersive audio-visual experience.

GusGus formed in Reykjavik in 1995, originally as a multimedia collective fusing electronic music with visual art and short film. Britain's 4AD signed them in 1996 and released their early albums „Polydistortion“, „This Is Normal“ and „Gus Gus vs. T-World“, followed by releases on Germany's Kompakt, including the critically acclaimed „Arabian Horse“ from 2011. Over the years they have been through countless lineup changes, but they have remained one of the most recognisable names on the Icelandic electronic scene.

GusGus's music is hard to file in a single drawer, fusing techno, trip-hop, house and soul into a sound that is at once club-ready and experimental. It is precisely that freedom that has kept them relevant for three decades, and their live shows are known for turning club energy into a genuine stage experience.

The show is on September 11 at Vidas Art Arena (Kolodrum, Borisova Gradina) in Sofia. Tickets are on sale through the Ticket Station network. The event is in Bulgaria, a few hours' drive for a Macedonian audience that wants to catch this lineup live.
