Sofia takes Halloween seriously, and Halloween Paranoia is one of the reasons why. The third edition on 31 October is once again at The Purgatory (Chistilishteto) at 7 Industrialna Street, with three stages, 15 acts and room for up to 2,000 people. The organisers bill it as one of the biggest Halloween events in the Bulgarian capital, drawing crowds from all over Bulgaria.
The programme is split by room, so everyone picks their own night. Room one has 2000s hits, trap, R&B and reggaeton with Dopamine and Kaitas. Room two is for house, indie dance, Afro house and melodic electronica, with Dias, Arda, Alex Sawyer, Martin Dimov and Scruz. Room three is for those after a more aggressive tempo: hard techno, Eurodance, trance and hard groove with Egor, Sulev and Engl.
Dias is the name at the top of the poster, and Sofia audiences will also catch him on 11 December at the Aura night with Spanish duo Mestiza. The organisers promise a big production and décor that turns the industrial space into a horror set. Whether the masks will be scarier than the hard techno in room three, we'll find out after midnight.
The cheaper tiers on bilet.bg have already sold out, and the current price is 30.99 euros, about 1,910 denars. The top tier costs 119.99 euros, about 7,390 denars. It starts at 9 pm.
