The Music of Hans Zimmer at NDK in Sofia on May 27 - Scores From Gladiator and Interstellar in Hall 1

Hans Cimer vo Sofija na 27 maj

The music of Hans Zimmer in concert performance comes to Sofia on May 27, 2026. The concert takes place in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture, the day after the Plovdiv show, with the same production and programme.

Zimmer, the German composer who set a new standard for film music, is the author of the soundtracks for Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, Dune, Last Samurai and over 150 other projects. With two Oscars, four Grammys and dozens of film awards, he is one of the most recognisable figures in modern cinema. His style is defined by a fusion of orchestral and electronic music, heavy low basses and emotional themes you can recognise from the first few bars.

The live performance is a production by Original Films with a full orchestra, choir and soloists, and large projections from the films synchronised to the sound. The set covers Now We Are Free, Pirates of the Caribbean, S.T.A.Y., Time, the Dark Knight theme and the Paul Atreides theme from the two-part Dune. NDK Hall 1 holds 2,800 and has excellent acoustics for large symphonic events.

Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 156 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. NDK sits in central Sofia. For Macedonian fans of film music, the same concert also runs at the Skopje Philharmonic on May 31.
