Ishtar Alabina at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv on June 3 - the Israeli-Egyptian Singer With Habibi Ya Nour El Ain Marks 30 Years on Stage

Ishtar Alabina vo Plovdiv na 3 juni

Ishtar Alabina, the Israeli-Egyptian singer and songwriter known for one of the most-played songs of the nineties, Habibi Ya Nour El Ain, comes to the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv on June 3, 2026. The concert is part of her 30 Years on Stage anniversary tour and continues with a show in Burgas on June 4. The billing - Ishtar Alabina with Gypsies - points to the Romani backing band that has accompanied her in recent years.

Ishtina Imana Alabina was born in Tel Aviv to Egyptian-Moroccan parents. She started singing in four languages - Arabic, Hebrew, Spanish and French. The global breakthrough came in 1996 with the song Habibi Ya Nour El Ain (Beloved, light of my eyes), performed with the French-Egyptian band Les Gipsy Kings, one of the most successful world-music singles of the nineties. With 12 studio albums, over 6 million records sold and festival appearances from Hollywood to Istanbul, she is one of the defining voices of the Arabic-fusion and flamenco-Arabic genres.

The anniversary tour setlist covers the full catalogue - alongside Habibi Ya Nour El Ain, the songs Bom Bom Bom, Camina (with Bob Sinclar), Last Kiss and material from the latest album. The Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis (second century AD), with a capacity of 3,500, is one of the most impressive open-air stages in the Balkans.

Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 70 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The Ancient Theatre sits on the Old Town hill in Plovdiv. Plovdiv is easy to reach from Skopje by bus or car in around six hours. The tour continues with a show in Burgas on June 4.
