Jelena Rozga plays Diamond Club in Malinska on the island of Krk on August 8, 2026, starting at 10 pm. Of all the summer dates on the Croatian pop circuit, this is one where you know what will happen in the room before the doors even open.

Rozga was born on August 23, 1977 in Split. As a child she was a ballerina; after primary school she went to Zagreb to the ballet secondary school and danced at the Croatian National Theatre. In 1996 she became the lead singer of Magazin, the band that across the whole of former Yugoslavia was a synonym for Dalmatian pop, and stayed in that role until 2006, with five studio albums. When she left, she did what a singer from a big band rarely manages: the solo career was not a fall but a step up. The debut album „Oprosti mala” from 2006 brought hits like „Roba s greškom” and „Gospe moja”, and later came „Nemam” and „Ne zovi me Marija”.

What has kept Rozga relevant for thirty years is a voice that needs no production cover. The Dalmatian melody in her songs is authentic rather than decorative, and her concerts are built around that: a hall that knows every lyric and a singer who does not have to hide the real colour of her voice behind technique.

Diamond Club in Malinska has become a regular summer stop for the regional pop circuit, and Rozga is one of the safest bets on that schedule. The island of Krk is well connected to the mainland by bridge, which makes this date reachable even for those holidaying further along the Kvarner.
