Jelena Rozga performs at Baškoti near Višnjan, in Istria, on November 14 at 9 p.m. The concert is part of the Martinje celebration, the St. Martin's Day festival of young wine, marked every autumn in Istria and continental Croatia.

Rozga was born in Split in 1977 and trained in ballet from the age of seven. At 18 she became the singer of Magazin and recorded five studio albums with the group, with hits like "Minut' srca tvog" and "Ginem". She started her solo career in 2006 with the album "Oprosti mala", and has performed at "Dora" three times.

The real breakthrough was 2010's "Bižuterija", the most-played song of that summer across the Balkans, which also won her a Porin. "Cunami", with more than 59 million YouTube views, "Nirvana" and "Kraljica" followed. All three solo albums went gold, in 2011 she became the first Croatian female singer to sell out the Spaladium Arena in Split, and "Moderna žena" was the best-selling album in Croatia in 2017. A small Istrian village, a big star: for Martinje, it seems, nobody skimps.

Tickets start at 30 euros (about 1,848 denars), and the top category costs 250 euros. Sales are via entrio.hr. Višnjan is in western Istria, not far from Poreč, Croatia.
