"Kao Kakao", the musical built on the music of Vlatko Stefanovski, closes the year with two more performances at the Macedonian National Theatre, on 11 and 12 December at 8 pm.
The show is a melodramatic love story set in 1970s Skopje, about a generation that wants to succeed, to love and to stay true to itself in a time that doesn't give it much room. The script and dramaturgy were written by Venko Andonovski, Dejan Projkovski directs, and 19 Stefanovski compositions were given new arrangements and orchestration by Boban Mirkovski. The title is the same as the album Leb i Sol released in 1987.
On stage are more than twenty actors and a live orchestra, including Vladimir Petrović, Katerina Jovanović, Nina Elzeser, Stefan Spasov and Anja Mitić, with choreography by Olga Pango. The production is by Bagi Komunikacii and the National Theatre, and the musical has been running since June, with several performances in September and October.
Tickets start at 1,100 denars and are sold via wayin.mk. If you'd rather go sooner, there are also performances on 10 and 11 November.
