On July 11, Trsat Castle in Rijeka hosts one of the region's most provocative and longest-running bands - Let 3 perform in Nugent Park as part of the „Leto na Gradini" programme. For anyone who follows Croatian rock, this is a night with a band that has been pushing the limits of the stage for nearly four decades.
Let 3 is a legendary Rijeka band known for an uncompromising, theatrical and often scandalous approach to rock. Over a career stretching back to the eighties, they built a reputation as a group that isn't afraid to provoke - on stage and off it. A wider European audience met them in 2023, when they represented Croatia at Eurovision with „Mama ŠČ!", which finished 13th but pulled in ten times more votes from the public than from the juries.
The Trsat show promises exactly that kind of high-energy performance - a mix of their best-known songs and the unmistakable staging that turns every appearance into an event in its own right. The stone setting of the medieval castle above Rijeka gives an unusual, almost theatrical backdrop to a band that already treats the stage like a play.
Tickets run from 15 to 20 euros depending on when you buy, and are available through entrio.hr and at the door on the day. For fans of alternative and provocative rock in Macedonia, Rijeka is a close enough destination to catch one of the icons of the Croatian scene.
