Belgrade band Lira Vega play on Thursday, November 5, from 21:00, at KC Grad in Belgrade. Also on the bill that night is "CD Ministar i neukrotiva grupa ljudi" ("CD Minister and an Untameable Group of People"), and the concert is organised by Bad Music for People.

Lira Vega formed in 1998 within the alternative theatre troupe "Pozorište šešira" ("Theatre of Hats"). Their most recognisable trait is singer Zoja Borovčanin, who sings the lyrics in an invented language. Their first album "Lira Vega" came out in 2004 on PGP RTS, followed by "Sreća i ljubav" in 2009, "Duhovi" in 2015 and "Posledice rada I", announced in 2022 with the single "Velika žena", which marked their return after a seven-year break.

The song "Kometa" sat at number one on the SKC radio chart for weeks, while "Alfa Akvari" brought their early success. They played the Future Shock stage at Exit in 2003 and opened for Nouvelle Vague in 2006. Today the core of the band is its two founders, Zoja Borovčanin and guitarist Vladimir Đorđević.

Tickets cost 1,500 dinars (about 790 denars) and are on sale at tickets.rs. A band that has spent nearly three decades singing in a language that doesn't exist proves the old truth: an audience doesn't need to understand the words to understand the song.
