A symphonic concert titled "Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit - The Concert" will take place at the Macedonian Philharmonic in Skopje on Sunday, May 31 at 17:00. The programme covers the musical themes from the Tolkien film adaptations, with live orchestral arrangements performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra and choir, accompanied by film footage projected on a large screen.

The special guest is Morfydd Clark - the actress who plays Galadriel in Amazon's series "The Rings of Power." The show also uses original audio recordings of Sir Christopher Lee in the role of Saruman, which adds a narrative layer beyond pure concert format. The production is directed by Lancelot Production.

The concert traces a musical arc from the Shire to Mordor, with themes for hobbits, Nazgul, ents and Gondor flowing in and out of one symphonic stream. The orchestra moves from gentle Elvish passages to massive brass sections for the battles of Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith. The show runs for about two hours including an interval.

Tickets range from 3,800 to 4,950 denars and are sold through karti.com.mk. The concert starts at 17:00, and the same evening at 20:00 on the same stage "The Music of Hans Zimmer and Others" follows - two concerts back-to-back at the Philharmonic, which for Skopje is a rare film-music double bill.
