Lu Jakelić plays the Zagreb club Boogaloo on October 7, and not as just another tour stop. After sold-out shows at Peti kupe, Sax and Luda kuća, and arena support slots with Parni valjak and Amira Medunjanin, the singer-songwriter from Đurđevac picked this night to play her new songs in front of an audience for the first time.

Lucija Jakelić was born in 1993. Her first album, 2019's "Sve o čemu sam šutjela", reached number one on the Croatian sales chart and stayed among the best-sellers for 34 weeks in a row. Her second, 2022's "Šesto čulo", hit number one in its very first week. She has been nominated for the Porin, the Večernjakova ruža, Rock&Off and the regional AMVU award, and she also writes songs for other artists. Her biggest influence, she says, is Gibonni. A wider audience also got to know her through the Croatian Radiotelevision series "A strana".

The new phase sounds different. The single "Prozirna" takes her into a space between alternative pop, modern rock and urban electronica, and the album is announced for the end of the year. At Boogaloo both new and old material will be played, with special guests the organisers aren't revealing yet. The concert is part of the fourth edition of the short film festival "Playbox Shorts", running in Zagreb from October 7 to 10.

The show starts at 20:30, with doors at 19:30. Early tickets go for 15 euros, about 924 denars, and VIP tickets cost 22 euros, about 1,355 denars. Sales are on entrio.hr and at Entrio outlets across Croatia.
