Sofia surf punk band Lucky Number Nick launches its fourth album, "Revenge of the Critters", at Club Pave in Sofia on October 17, 2026 at 8 p.m. Special guests are Los Chill from Madrid.

The project began as Nick Alamanov's solo effort in California, and after the good reception of the self-titled debut album grew into a band. Today it's a DIY outfit with energetic shows, a vintage aesthetic and zero interest in genre boundaries. Every album has a theme: there was a corporate one, with the single "Letter of Resignation", and a Mexican one, "When This Shit Is Done I'm Moving to Mexico".

An unavoidable character is the mascot Bob, a T. rex who in the videos has been a failed office clerk and then a gamer. On the new album Bob returns as an astronaut, with possums, asteroids, space deserts and fast chases. A band that builds its stories around a dinosaur, at a time when everyone is trying so hard to sound serious, is refreshing in itself.
