Mayhem and Marduk play Cvetličarna in Ljubljana on October 10. The Norwegian and Swedish bands, two of the names the entire story of Scandinavian black metal is built around, arrive together as part of the European "Death Over Europe" tour.

Mayhem is a band whose history is known well beyond metal circles, and not only because of the music. Formed in Norway, the group has been a central figure of the Norwegian black metal scene since the late eighties, and its influence on the genre is hard to overstate. The tour carries the band's new programme through eastern and central Europe over October.

Marduk come from Sweden and are veterans of the same scene, a band that has held the same uncompromising line for more than three decades. Both bands play most of the dates together, though on some stops of the tour Mayhem performs alone. Ljubljana is among the cities where the audience gets both bands on the same night.

Advance tickets cost 40 euros, rising to 45 on the day of the concert, through mojekarte.hr. Cvetličarna is one of Ljubljana's larger concert halls, which for a show of this calibre means a room able to take in an audience from across the region. Doors at 19:00.
