Parni Valjak is bringing the “50” tour to Slavonski Brod. On Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Sportska dvorana Vijus, the legendary Croatian rock band marks half a century of existence with a concert built on one of the richest catalogues in ex-Yugoslav music, starting at 9 p.m.
Half a century - that is not a number many bands reach. Parni Valjak was formed in Zagreb in the seventies and has been a byword for Croatian rock with soul ever since, with songs passed down from generation to generation for decades. “Jesi li ikada mene volela”, “Staklarski snovi”, “Vatra” - these are anthems the crowd knows by heart and that turn into collective singing at every concert.
The band went through hard times, including the death of its cult singer Aki Rahimovski, but it endures and carries on - proof that the music is stronger than any pause. The “50” tour is a retrospective of an entire era, with a repertoire that ties together the biggest hits from five decades of career.
Sportska dvorana Vijus in Slavonski Brod is the frame for a big concert of this caliber. Tickets are available through eventim.hr, with prices starting around 28 euros. For fans of Croatian rock in Slavonia, September 26 is a date not to be missed.
