Part of Kisela Voda Without Water: The Same Streets, the Same Statement, the Same Network Being Patched Up

Part of Kisela Voda was left without water this morning. The streets "Crniche", "Bansko" and "Karadzhica" are without water supply because of a breakdown, and the public utility "Vodovod i kanalizacija" - Skopje said the cut would last until the work is finished. The outage began at 05:25.

Another morning, another breakdown, another statement with the same sentence Skopje's residents know by heart - "until the work is finished". Nowhere does it say how long that work lasts, or why the same streets are hit again. The citizen just has to wait, with full bottles in reserve, as they've learned to.

Water supply cuts in Skopje long ago stopped being an emergency and became part of everyday life. Bursting pipes, an ageing network, and a utility that reacts once something has already broken rather than preventing it. How many breakdowns on the same streets does it take before someone admits the problem isn't one burst pipe, but a whole network being patched up for decades instead of renewed?
