Periphery, one of the most significant progressive metal acts to emerge from the 2010s, and Within Destruction, the Slovenian deathcore band from Ljubljana, come to Sofia on August 1, 2026. The show is part of Periphery's UK & Europe 2026 tour and goes down on the small stage at Vidas Art Arena in Sofia's Borisova Garden.

Periphery, formed in Meridian, Maryland by guitarist Misha Mansoor in 2005, is one of the key names of the djent genre - a sub-style of prog metal known for its polished, refined production, syncopated rhythms, low-tuned guitars and complex rhythmic subdivisions. With eight studio albums, two Grammy nominations (for Periphery III: Select Difficulty and Hail Stan) and over a million records sold, the band has shaped the contemporary progressive and technical metal scene in serious ways.

Within Destruction is Slovenia's go-to brand for brutal, politically charged deathcore and djentcore. With four studio albums and a reputation for exceptionally intense live shows, they're one of the names carrying the Balkan metal scene at international level over the last five years. The small stage at Vidas Art Arena offers the intimate atmosphere both bands need.
