Petar Dundov, the best-known Croatian name in melodic techno, plays on August 29 at Svarog Bar on Trg pet bunara in Zadar. Doors at 21:00, entry is restricted to over-21s, and the early ticket costs 5 euros, around 310 denars. Also on the decks with him is Bush.
Dundov is a producer and DJ working at the intersection of melodic techno, progressive house and ambient. He has his own studio, Neumatik, where he also works as a sound engineer alongside his own production. The debut album „Escapements” came out in September 2008 on the Belgian label Music Man Records and holds eight tracks, among them „Kanon”, „Desert Island”, „Sparkling Stars” and „Anja's Theme”. It was followed by „Ideas From The Pond” (2012), „Sailing Off The Grid” (2013), „At The Turn Of Equilibrium” (2016) and „In Expectation of Dawn” (2023).
The relationship with Music Man has lasted decades, which in electronic music means more than in any other genre. Labels there change fast, and an artist who stays with the same one for fifteen years or more is usually not the one chasing trends. You can hear it in the music too: Dundov builds tracks that develop slowly and do not lean on the current sound of the season.
Svarog Bar is a small club in the old part of Zadar. A price of five euros for the early ticket is seriously low for a name of this level, which most likely means the number of such tickets is limited. Tickets are sold via entrio.hr.
