Power cuts today in parts of Gazi Baba and Gjorče Petrov: outages from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for substation maintenance

Because of planned work on the electricity distribution network, customers in several parts of Skopje will be left without power today, 19 October.

From 8 to 11 a.m., some customers on "Cvetan Dimov" and "Jajce" streets in Gazi Baba will be without electricity. The reason is work at the "Gazi Baba 8" substation, where crews will clean the equipment, top up oil in the cable heads and the transformer, and inspect the switchgear.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., customers on Street 37 in the village of Volkovo, in Gjorče Petrov, will have an outage. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., some customers on "Kosta Abrašević", "Dižonska", "Klinska Lesa" and "Serava" streets will also lose power, due to work at the "Dame Gruev 2" substation.

Planned maintenance beats a breakdown in the middle of the night, and at least this one was announced in time. But for anyone working from home or keeping medicine in the fridge, three hours without power on a working Monday is no small thing. Better to know in advance.
