Princess Rajwa and the Art of Walking Into a Royal Family With Your Own Style

Princess Rajwa al Hussein of Jordan is doing something few manage: walking into a royal family with her own aesthetic and not losing it on the way. Her mother-in-law is Queen Rania - the woman who is probably the most style-conscious monarch in the world. That's a visual bar standing several meters high. And Rajwa doesn't just clear it - sometimes she looks like she's outclimbing it.

At the wedding in June 2023, her Elie Saab dress was both traditional and dazzling: an asymmetric neckline, long sleeves, a magnificent train and a detail many noted - 550 little hand-sewn pieces and six kilograms of pearls, crystals and beads. The tiara carried the Arabic inscription "Rajwa min Allah" - Hope from God. It's not just beautiful, it's deliberate storytelling.

After giving birth in August 2024, her first official appearance was in a tropical-print dress by Evi Grintela, paired with Alexander McQueen sneakers with side stripes. A nod to the contemporary, a nod to comfort, a nod to personal taste - all of it in a royal setting. You don't adapt to the role, you redefine it.

The two of them, Rania and Rajwa, share a passion for designer bags - Bottega Veneta Knot, Fendi Peekaboo - and for the buttoned-up dark look at official occasions. But Rajwa brings in something of her own: younger, a little less austere, with a willingness to mix the rules. Jordan is getting a stylistic heir. The world is watching.
