Ricchi e Poveri, the Italian pop duo and one of the most recognisable figures of Italian pop music of the eighties, come to the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv on September 27, 2026. The concert is part of their world tour, marking over 50 years of activity.
The group was formed in 1967 in Genoa and was one of the central voices of Italian pop in the seventies and eighties. The hits Sara Perche Ti Amo (1981) - the winning song at San Remo and one of the most recognisable Italian pop songs of all time, alongside Made in Italy, Mamma Maria, Hasta La Vista, Cinque Minuti E Poi - made them one of the most-played Italian groups. With 25 studio albums and an estimated 22 million records sold worldwide, they are one of the most successful Italian pop groups.
The group is currently made up of Angela Brambati and Angelo Sotgiu (Angelo Brusco retired in 2024), with special instrumental arrangements for summer concerts. The setlist covers all the major hits, which are also widely known in North Macedonia. The Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis, with a capacity of 3,500, is the ideal frame for a classic Italian pop performance under the open sky.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 80 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Sunday, September 27, 2026. For Macedonian fans of classic Italian pop from the eighties, this is one of the key dates in the neighbourhood right now.
