Skopje Brass Festival With Moment for Morricone at the Philharmonic on May 29 - Italian Trumpeter Marco Pierobon Plays the Morricone Scores

Skopje Brass Festival presents the „Moment for Morricone" program at the Small Hall of the Philharmonic on May 29, 2026 at 7 p.m. The Italian trumpeter Marco Pierobon performs as soloist with the ID Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Dijana Imeri Ilkoska, with guests Stefan Iliev on trumpet and reciters Tina Ivanova and Orhan Tairović. Tickets are on sale on mktickets.mk at 400 denars.

Marco Pierobon is the Italian trumpeter with a long career in the classical and jazz repertoire, and his specialty is precisely the film scores of Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota. The two composers defined the sound of Italian cinema in the second half of the 20th century - Morricone with the scores for Sergio Leone and over 500 soundtracks, Rota with the music for Fellini and Coppola's „Godfather" films.

The I.D. Chamber Orchestra runs under the baton of Dijana Imeri Ilkoska and is one of the active chamber ensembles in Macedonia, focused on cross-genre projects and collaborations with international soloists. Stefan Iliev on second trumpet will deliver the brass section parts, while the reciters will introduce each section with texts from the songs and poetry that inspired the two composers.

The Small Hall of the Philharmonic offers intimate acoustics, ideal for the chamber format of a program like this. Tickets are 400 denars on mktickets.mk, start at 7 p.m.
