Stereo MC's, the British band that fused hip-hop, house and funk in the nineties, perform in Makarska on July 22 at the "Stereo MC's x Stardust" event. For lovers of the classic British dance sound this is a rare visit by one of the defining names of the era.

Stereo MC's became a global phenomenon with the 1992 album "Connected" and its title single, which became one of the most recognisable dance anthems of the decade. With a mix of rap, funk rhythms and electronica, they shaped a sound that connected club and mainstream audiences, and songs like "Step It Up" and "Ground Level" were played everywhere. The group also won a BRIT Award for best British group.

Even today Stereo MC's are known for energetic live shows in which the old hits sound just as powerful as they did thirty years ago. The Makarska show, in a summer club format by the Adriatic, seems built for their rhythmic, dance-oriented sound.
