Looking for more events? The full calendar of concerts and events in Macedonia and the region is in one place.
Tanec and Lado continue their joint tour with a show at the Macedonian Opera and Ballet in Skopje on July 10, 2026 at 8:30 p.m., two days after the concert in Bitola. Tickets are on sale through kupikarta.com at 1,200 denars.
„One Night Under the Stars" is the name of the program that brings together on the same night two ensembles founded in the same year - 1949 - in the capitals of what was then Yugoslavia. Tanec is the national ensemble of Macedonian folk songs and dances, with a collection of more than 90 choreographies and around 3,000 authentic costumes, while Lado is Croatia's professional ensemble with 150 choreographies from every Croatian region and over 800 folk songs in the repertoire.
Tanec today has the reputation of one of Europe's most respected ethno-choreographic ensembles, with over 3,500 concerts in countries from Australia to Senegal, Japan and the United States. Lado has a similar international trajectory, with appearances on the stages of London, Vienna, Rome and Sydney and long collaborations with major Croatian composers.
The Macedonian Opera and Ballet will host the program in a classic concert-hall format - performances by both ensembles, with equal billing for the two traditions. Tickets are 1,200 denars on kupikarta.com, and the program starts exactly at 8:30 p.m.
