Tarja Turunen (Tarja Turunen), the voice that put Finland on the world metal map, performs at Hristo Botev Hall in Sofia on 18 March 2027 with the Frisson Live tour. Nightwish's former singer closes the Bulgarian leg of the tour in the capital, a few days after the concert in Varna.

Classically trained as a soprano, Tarja did what few managed - she fused operatic vocal technique with heavy metal and, in doing so, shaped an entire genre. As the original voice of Nightwish, she was key to the Finnish metal breakthrough to a global audience, and her solo career after the split confirmed her as one of the most recognisable female names on the whole metal scene.

The current tour carries the new album Frisson Noir, which the singer and label alike bill as the heaviest record of her career. The Sofia crowd can expect a mix of her well-known anthems and newer, harsher material - an operatic voice over metal that is darker and heavier than before.

The show starts at 7 PM at Hristo Botev Hall, and tickets start at around 58 leva and are sold through bilet.bg. For Balkan metalheads who have followed her career for years, this is a rare chance to hear that voice live, two hours from the border.
