Tarja Turunen plays the Hangar at Luka Beograd on March 16, 2027, as part of the Frisson Live tour. The Finnish soprano who defined the symphonic metal scene arrives with the hardest material of her solo career, and tickets are 5,700 dinars through tickets.rs.
Turunen was the voice of Nightwish in the years when that band invented the formula dozens of groups later copied: operatic soprano over metal. The 2005 split was one of the uglier ones in the genre's history, and she speaks openly about how hard her final months there were. The line she repeats most in interviews is that she would never go back to where she was.
What came afterwards is five rock and metal solo records from 2007 onward. The latest, Frisson Noir, came out on June 12, 2026 through earMUSIC, seven years after In the Raw. She co-produced it with her husband Marcelo Cabuli and describes it herself as the hardest and most personal work she has made as a composer. For a classically trained singer, that is a deliberate step toward rougher ground, not away from it.
The international Frisson tour began on September 30, 2026 in Berlin, and the European run for 2027 sets off on February 10 through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Belgrade is one of the few Balkan stops on that schedule.
The Hangar at Luka Beograd is an industrial space with large capacity, a fitting stage for symphonic metal with full production. Tickets are 5,700 dinars through tickets.rs, and the start is at 6 pm.
