Tereza Kesovija, one of the biggest names in Croatian and former Yugoslav music, says goodbye to her audience where it all began. On June 13, 2026, at the Rector's Palace in Dubrovnik, the legendary singer stages a concert that has turned into the event of the season - the first night sold out in record time, so the organisers added a second date on June 14.
The choice of venue is no accident. Kesovija made her first public performance in Dubrovnik itself in 1958, as a young flautist, and her career of more than six decades symbolically comes to a close in the very place where it was born. Over the years she became a name that reaches beyond the former Yugoslavia - she sang in French on the great Paris stages, won awards and built a repertoire that generations still know today.
The concert at the Rector's Palace is part of her farewell mini-tour, which she announced at the start of May, citing health reasons. So these two evenings are no ordinary concert - they are the final chapter of one of the most important singers in the region, in a setting that holds a deep personal and emotional value for her.
Because of the limited space at the Rector's Palace, the organisers (the City of Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival) will set up a large video wall on the Stradun so that those without tickets can follow the performance live as well. Tickets are sold through ulaznice.hr, at prices of 30, 40 and 50 euros. The event is in Croatia, for readers weighing a trip.
