A grand concert in honour of Toma Zdravković takes place in Čakovec. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Dvorana GOC, an evening unfolds dedicated to the legend of Serbian folk and old-town music, with a roster of performers reviving his immortal songs, starting at 8 p.m.
Toma Zdravković is a name that does not fade. A songwriter and singer whose life was every bit as dramatic as his songs, he left behind a catalogue that, decades after his death, stays alive across the Balkans. „Od glave do pete“, „Mirabela“, „Za nas ljubavi nema“ - these are the songs people drank and wept to in the kafanas from Vranje to Zagreb, and his bohemian myth became part of the folk culture of these lands.
The concert in Čakovec brings together a strong crew of performers: Dejan Matić, Nemanja Nikolić, Milan Topalović Topalko and Advina Begić, backed by the grand orchestra of Miša Mijatović, with surprise guests announced. Instead of a single singer, the audience gets a collective tribute - a format in which his songs are carried through many voices, each with its own stamp.
Dvorana GOC in Čakovec is the setting for a night of nostalgia and homage like this. Tickets are available through eventim.hr. For lovers of Toma Zdravković's music, October 17 offers an evening in which his songs come back to life.
