Tribute Maraton Serbia takes place at Dorcol Plac in Belgrade on November 13 and 14, starting at 7:30pm on both nights. A single-night ticket costs around 784 denars, and the pass for both days around 1,310 denars.

The format comes from Hungary, where Tribute Maraton is the biggest festival of its kind in the country - a two-day programme in which tribute acts play the repertoires of the big rock and metal names. The Serbian edition is set in the hard and heavy category, which defines the profile of the nights in advance.

The tribute scene carries a reputation as the second division, but this format is something else: a festival deliberately selling the chance to hear live sound from bands that either no longer exist, or will never come to Belgrade. For a listener who wants those songs off a stage rather than out of a speaker, the gap between original and tribute is narrower than it sounds.

Dorcol Plac grew out of a former factory in the industrial part of Lower Dorcol and now runs as an open art commune for concerts, exhibitions and festivals. It is a setting that suits a hard and heavy programme better than a concert hall does. Tickets go through tickets.rs, and the specific tribute acts have not been published on the seller's page.
