Vanna, one of the most recognisable female voices of Croatian pop music, performs on August 8 at the Trsat fortress in Rijeka as part of "Summer on the Fortress". The singer, with a thirty-year career, arrives at one of the most striking open-air stages on the Kvarner.
Ivana Vrdoljak, known as Vanna, began her career in 1992 as the lead vocalist of the cult dance-pop group Elektro Tim (ET), one of the biggest Croatian bands of the nineties. As the group's frontwoman she not only sang but also co-wrote the songs, something rarely seen with pop performers of that period. After ET broke up she went solo, a career that established her as a star in her own right.
Vanna's solo output spans a string of hits and a large number of awards, and her powerful, recognisable vocal keeps her among the most respected singers in the region. Her performances combine pop hits with ballads and an energetic stage show, and her voice has lost none of its power over the years.
Tickets are available via ulaznice.hr. The concert is at the Trsat fortress above Rijeka, overlooking the Adriatic.
