The international project Vlahopol (VLAHOPOL) plays its first concert in Bulgaria on November 6, 2026 at The Pit club in Sofia. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9:30 p.m.

The leader is Romanian guitarist Mike Vlahopol, known as the "Lord of the Strings". Radio Free Europe and the Romanian daily Libertatea have written about him, above all because of the guitars he builds himself to order and his performances with big international rock names. The style is modern blues, funk and rock in the spirit of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Steve Vai.

At the core of the project is the album "The Underdog", released three years ago: 11 songs split into a vocal part, Sunrise, and a heavier guitar part, Sunset. The story is personal, told as a fairy tale about a prince searching for a love he isn't sure exists. Guests on the album include Grammy-nominated Romanian bassist Decebal Bădilă, Los Angeles guitarist Jay Gore, American bassist Steve Clarke, guitarist Joe Berger and Irish blues singer Lee Headley.

On stage in Sofia with Vlahopol are Polina Petrova, Slavena Daskalova, Marius Oprea and Alex Petkov. Tickets on bilet.bg cost 11.90 to 29.99 euros, roughly 730 to 1,850 denars.
