Željko Samardžić is heading down to Istria this summer. The Sarajevo singer with one of the most recognisable voices of the ex-Yugoslav scene performs on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Toco Beach Club in Ližnjan, near Pula, starting at 9 pm. A summer night by the sea, with a man whose ballads an entire Balkan generation knows by heart.

Samardžić is not a one-season star. He has been building his career since the eighties, but real fame came in the nineties with hits that still fill halls from Skopje to Zagreb. „Malena“, „Pogledni dom svoj anđele“, „Ne traži me“ - these are songs that need no announcement; the crowd sings them before the singer even opens them. Decades on, he remains part of that stock of Balkan music that survives regardless of trends and borders.

Concerts in seaside clubs are his specialty - a smaller stage, closer to the audience, an atmosphere in which the ballads carry a different weight than in a big arena. Ližnjan promises exactly that kind of night: a recognisable four-decade repertoire, sung the way only he can, in a setting where the sea is part of the scenery.

Tickets are sold through entrio.hr, with prices starting around 30 euros. Toco Beach Club sits in Ližnjan, right next to Pula, which makes the concert reachable even for those holidaying along the Istrian coast.
