The 100 Members Gipsy Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian Romani orchestra with 100 musicians on stage, comes to Sofia on October 30, 2026. The concert will take place in Hall 1 of NDK as part of their world tour.
The orchestra has been active since 1985 and is one of the largest and most recognisable Romani ensembles in Europe. With 100 virtuoso musicians playing Gypsy violins, cimbalom and folk instruments, they perform classical music in the Romani style - from Liszt and Brahms to Schubert and Tchaikovsky, alongside Romani and Hungarian folk themes. With 12 studio albums and regular European tours over the past 40 years, they have cult status in the genre.
The setlist covers Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies, Monti's Csardas, Romani folk classics and material from the orchestra's own arrangements. NDK Hall 1, with a capacity of 2,800 and excellent acoustics, is the ideal frame for a classical-Romani concert with 100 musicians on stage.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 92 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Friday, October 30, 2026. For Macedonian fans of classical music and the Romani folk tradition, this is one of the key dates in the neighbourhood.
